Our Mission: To publish and present to the world the works of Paul F. Hyde.
A weaver of tales, and a spinner of yarns,
SSG Hyde was born in 1961 in Upland, CA., the son of a criminal defense attorney, and a Registered Nurse. He graduated from Upland High School in 1979 where he studied Biology and Honors English as well as the standard curriculum.
He attended Chico State University in 1980, but left after a year in order to join the service.
He attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri in 1981 and Medical Training at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas in the same year. Paul served in the National Guard as a medic in the 1st Squadron of the 18th Cavalry. He rose through the ranks to become the Medical Platoon Sergeant for the 18th Cav. He started working full-time for the Cavalry in 1985 as the Squadron Trainer and remained there until his transfer to the United States Property and Fiscal Office for California in 1996.
SSG Hyde completed his final enlistment in 1999 and is eternally grateful that he retains all of his body parts and most of his marbles.
He has been a storyteller in one way, shape or form since his early teens, and wants nothing else quite so badly as to catch a tight hold of the next good story and get it nailed down to the page before it can get away.
He lives in Southern California with his son Alec and Bruno the dog.
